Afghan President Hamid Karzai condemned NATO attacks on Tuesday, after the American-led forces killed “four innocent children” who were tending to livestock.
How and why the children were killed remains unclear.
“Despite repeated pledges by NATO to avoid civilian casualties, innocent lives, including children, are still being lost,” Karzai stated.
According to Reuters, “civilian casualties have been a major source of friction between Karzai’s government and the U.S.-led NATO forces in Afghanistan.”
